The ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB combines a wide range of innovative features that make it a unique rescue solution. Its additional AIS alert provides the fastest and easiest route to rescue, while the integrated Return Link Service (RLS) confirms directly on the beacon that the distress alert has been successfully received – providing reassuring peace of mind.

The use of Near Field Communication (NFC) also enables smartphone connectivity, opening up completely new access to data and product interaction. This means: as soon as the EPIRB is activated, it not only sends a distress signal to the global Cospas-Sarsat rescue system, but also simultaneously transmits an AIS safety message on VHF frequencies. This allows all nearby vessels with AIS reception to immediately identify the position and respond.

In addition, the GlobalFix V5 offers numerous other safety features:
- Return Link Service (RLS): A visual confirmation that the call has been received
- 121.5 MHz homing signal: Supports location by rescue teams

Simple diagnostics via smartphone. Thanks to NFC technology (Near Field Communication), EPIRB diagnostics can be accessed quickly and easily via smartphone. When a smartphone is held near the GlobalFix V5 EPIRB, the ACR Product App opens automatically and provides direct access to all important EPIRB data.

In the app, the user receives detailed status information, including:
- Battery life
- Number of self-tests and GNSS tests performed
- Duration of previous activation
- Detailed logs of all self-tests and GNSS tests
